Our site.

Field of Joy is a beautiful
3 acres smallholding in an
ancient meadow on the
edge of the market town
of Reepham in Norfolk.

We’re located down a peaceful track away from traffic and surrounded by the beauty of nature and woodlands.

We have garden areas for growing flowers, vegetables, and fruit. As well as a peaceful sitting area with picnic tables, a campfire, a sheltered area with seating for bad weather, and a shed with art materials, games and a nature library inside.

On the site, you will find a farmyard area with animal shelters and a stable, a chicken house, pig pens, sheep paddocks, and guinea pig runs. You will also find horse and donkey grazing areas, as well as wildflower and re-wilding areas.

A small stream runs through the site which can be used for pond dipping. We have various quiet beautiful spots where you can sit in peace, on a rug or a chair, and take in the scenery and relax.

Working in harmony.

Working in harmony with nature is key to our approach at Field of Joy, we try to manage the smallholding in an as gentle and environmentally sustainable way as possible.

Support biodiversity.

We use our animal manure in the vegetable garden and aim to support biodiversity in our gardening, animal, and land management.

Re-wilding.

We cross-graze our animals on parts of the land and have other sections that are dedicated to rewilding and native wetland wildflowers. We are caring for and adding to our native hedgerows and wildflower meadow, through sensitive management and replanting.

Facilities and accessibility:

Access to the site is between a 5-10 minute walk down a beautiful wooded track. Due to the rural nature of our site, we are not wheelchair accessible at present unless you have a rugged off-road type wheelchair or an all-terrain mobility scooter. Once you arrive at the site you will find a compost toilet and handwashing facilities. as well as
both indoor and outdoor table and seating.
